PEDESTRIANS
10.20.010 Authority to maintain crosswalks.
10.20.020 Use of crosswalks in business districts.

10.20.010 Authority to maintain crosswalks.
The traffic and transportation administrator shall maintain marked crosswalks:
A. At any intersection or portion of intersection where the traffic and transportation administrator determines that there is exceptional hazard to pedestrians crossing the roadway;
B. At locations between intersections designated by the council by resolution. (Prior code º 27-46)
10.20.020 Use of crosswalks in business districts.
No pedestrian shall cross a roadway other than by a crosswalk in any business district. (Prior code º 27-47)
10.20.030 Standing in roadways.
No person shall stand in any roadway other than in a safety zone or in a crosswalk if such action interferes with the lawful movement of traffic. This provision shall not apply to any public officer or employee, or employee of a public utility when necessarily upon a street in line of duty. (Prior code º 27-48)
10.20.040 Obstructing sidewalks.
No person shall excessively or unnecessarily obstruct the free passage of any person along or over any public sidewalk. (Prior code º 27-50)
